White Water Rafting Trip

We will be going on our 5th annual whitewater rafting trip July 16-18th up in Maine.  This is a great time for members to share fellowship and experience a small reward for all of the hard work they doing during the school year.  We are pleased that many of our church members that are NOT in our Senior High Group will be joining us for a weekend of fun.

Sights & Sound

The Sights & Sound trip to see "Noah" has been rescheduled from June 19-20 to October 2-3. We will be needing drivers. Please see the Parents’ Sign up sheet in the alcove on the SHG bulletin board.

Fund Raising Activities

The SHG raised $842.00 at their first carwash/bakesale in May and $405.00 at their second carwash/bakesale in June. We would like to thank EVERYONE who helped make our first two carwash/bakesales so successful. With the group’s budget being cut this year, this is the ONLY way for our group to afford our once-a-year rafting trip, which is a very special weekend of fellowship for our group.

Please come and support our young adults by having your car washed and/or donating/purchasing a baked good at our four remaining carwash/bakesales. Mark your calendars:

July 24 (Raindate July 31); August 7 (Raindate August 14); September 18 (Raindate September 25); October 9 (Raindate October 16)

Thank You - Thank-You

Thank you to Rob Reeves for the TERRIFIC 30 Hour Famine video. Rob and Clarke Reeves took video of our young adults during their 30 hours of not eating in The Lounge back in March. Rob added music and credits to make it a real professional piece of memorabilia for our church to have.

Thank you to Arlene & Roy Wells for the donation of the 55 cup coffeepot for our Lounge. It will be WONDERFUL to be able to make enough coffee for ALL of the parents during our parents’ meetings.

We would like to thank Linda & Gordon Harris and Deb & Bob Margolies for accepting leadership of The Senior High Group in September. It has been a wonderful 7 years for Jim and myself and we are so happy to be "passing the torch" to two such committed couples in our congregation. Our young adults are fortunate to have a church family that helps keep our group together.

The SHG normally meets the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of each month when school is in session.   All high school age students are welcome to join us at our meetings (bring a friend).  Any questions, please call Donna or Jim at 922-8135 (business phone in home; please leave a message).
