Deacons, who we are and what we do.
The deacons of the church are six men and six women with two of each elected annually to serve a term of three years. The roles of a deacon are many. They include, but are not limited to the following:

Share with the Pastor in caring for the spiritual life of the Church and community |

Establish membership requirements |

Integrate new members and families into the life of the church |

Assist in the preparation and administration of the sacraments |
|
Assist the pastor in the service of baptism |
|
Assist with morning worship |
|
Appoint and instruct ushers and lay readers |
|
Appoint a flower chair |
|
Oversee the visitation of the sick and needy |
|
Representation on church council |
|
Host receptions for major church events |
