Music Committee
Music has been an integral part of the Huntington Congregational Church for 277 years. It has been an expression of praise, joy and adoration throughout our history.
Our organist and choir director is Bruce Hartel. Bruce plays an Allen electronic organ as well as the piano. Both his musical performance and leadership are inspiring to the entire church.
We have 20 Senior Choir members, 8 Junior Choir members and a 12 member Bell Choir. The Senior Choir rehearses Wednesday evenings at 7:30 pm. New members are always welcome.
Our music season, in which the choir sings at services, is from September through June. During the summer we welcome choir soloists.
The HCC Music Committee established the McLean Scholarship to be given to church members who show an interest and desire to study voice.
